12TH STATION A jar full of sour wine stood there; so, putting a sponge soaked in the wine on a hyssop stick, they held it up to his mouth. After Jesus had taken the wine he said "It is fulfilled"; and bowing his head he gave up his spirit.
[John 19:30]

Spend a few moments in silent reflection:
- The sacrifice that began with the Last Supper is completed. How far do I understand the mystery of the Mass?
- Do I show the honour I should to Jesus in the blessed Sacrament of His Body and Blood?
Amo te, o Jesu, mi Amor, magis quam meípsum,
et ex íntimo corde pænitet me quod tibi displícui.
Ne sinas me íterum a te separári.
Da mihi perpétuum amórem tui,
et dein fac de me quidquid tibi placúerit.
I love you Jesus, my Love, above all things;
I repent with my whole heart for having offended you.
Never permit me to separate myself from you again.
Grant that I may love you always,
then do with me what you will.
Tui nati vulneráti
tam dignáti pro me pati
pœnas mecum dívide
Let met share with thee his pain,
who for all my sins was slain,
who for me in torments died.
