SEVENTH STATION
Jesus falls the second time
V/. Adorámus te, Christe, et benedícimus tibi. R/. Quia per sanctam crucem tuam redemísti mundum. |
V/. We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you. R/. For by your holy cross you have redeemed the world. |
He was crushed for our sins. On him lies a punishment that brings us peace, and through his wounds
we are healed. [Isaiah 53:5] Spend a few moments in silent reflection: - Do I really admit that I fall into sin and need healing and peace? - How often do I experience Christ's peace and healing in the Sacrament of Reconcilation (Confession)? |
|
Amo te, o Jesu, mi Amor, magis quam meípsum, et ex íntimo corde pænitet me quod tibi displícui. Ne sinas me íterum a te separári. Da mihi perpétuum amórem tui, et dein fac de me quidquid tibi placúerit. |
I love you Jesus, my Love, above all things; I repent with my whole heart for having offended you. Never permit me to separate myself from you again. Grant that I may love you always, then do with me what you will. |
Pro peccátis suæ gentis vidit Jesum in torméntis et flagéllis súbditum |
For the sins of His own nation saw Him hang in desolation, all with bloody scourges rent. |
