Daily:
- Read the Holy Scriptures for about 10 minutes, followed by quiet meditation.
- Reflect on your life. Remember that God loves you. Pray for the coming of the Lord Jesus.
- Pray for our Holy Father the Pope, successor of St Peter, and for all members of the Holy Catholic Church (both living and dead), and for our Holy Tradition. Pray for tolerance and reasonableness.
- Begin and end the day with the 'Our Father', the 'Hail Mary' and the 'Glory be' prayed reflectively.
- Read Philippians 4:4-9
- Be aware of yourself and your motives.
- Seek for opportunity to serve. Where is your God leading you today?
- Spend half an hour in silent meditation, reflecting on a Scripture text of the week.
- Give to the poor and needy. Remember God loves everybody.
- Attend Holy Mass; meet the Lord with His family on the Lord's Day. Receive the Lord Jesus in Holy Communion with reverence and wonder.
- Abstain from meat and fast a little on Fridays.
- Generously support the life and witness of your local Catholic Church.
- Spend one hour in silent meditation on a Scripture text used that month.
- Do something specific to make the world a better place for everyone; make somone's life happier. Show respect to the forgotten.
- Undo some wrong or hurt; make a gesture of hospitality; give a gift; seek out the lonely.
- Be kind to yourself and make a good Confession.
- Reflect on how we enter even more deeply into the inner life of God through receiving the Holy Eucharist in a spirit of love and inner stillness.
- Live at peace with God and care for His creation. Oppose all forms of cruelty. Rember that God loves the world, and all He made is good. Love and respect all animals.
- Love and preserve life. Act creatively. Bring peace. Make peace. Treat the world gently. Everyone is entitled to their place in the sun.
- Think well of others. Be compassionate, bear no grudges. To understand all is to forgive all
- Be happy and courteous; you belong to God's family. Manners and thoughfulness become you. Rudeness is alien to God's household. Consciously cultivate within yourself a deep sense of gratitude and an abiding disposition of serenity in all ciircumstances of your life.
- Remember, you are not alone: through the Loard Jesus, God has sent His Holy Spirit to be with you, to comfort you. You are surrounded by God's angels, Our Blessed Lady, and all the saints. Be assured, all is well. Keep your gaze on the far distance; see the glorious things. As a child of God, joy and optimism are your birthright.
- Seek always the way of enlightenment, avoid anger and conflict, love and accept yourself.
- Be understanding; be patient in all things. Seek in all situations to delight the Lord. Listen for His voice in silence and nature, amidst the clamour of the world.

A Call to Happiness and Delight
"Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say: rejoice and may everyone experience your gentle and understanding heart.
"The Lord is near: do not be anxious about anything. In everything resort to prayer, supplication and thanksgiving. Bring your requests before God in gratitude. Then the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts in Christ Jesus.
"Finally, brothers and sisters, fill your minds with whatever is truthful, holy, just, lovely and noble. Be mindful of whatever desrves praise and admiration, Put into practice all you have learnt from me and the God of peace will be with you."
[Philippians 4:4-9]
THE PETROS PLEDGE
May I be prayerful.
May I be compassionate.
May I be courteous.
May I be courageous.
May I be Godlike.
I will be aware and:
Seek God in every situation;
See God in all of creation;
Serve God in each day.
Love God in every person.
I will struggle to:
Resist selfishness, dishonesty and prejudice;
Stand for Justice, Fairness, Honour;
Seek enlightenment in a life of noble purpose,
In all circumstances and at all times.
I bow and give glory and praise to:
The Father, the fountain of Divine Life;
The son, the bearer of salvation and light;
The Holy Spirit, the source of true harmony.
Amen.
THE PETROS PRAYER
O Blessed Trinity of Love and Joy:
Divine Life be Your gift to me
Divine Life through me to all of creation.
All life is from You.
All life serves You.
All life returns to You.
As the Lord Jesus is ever compassionate and merciful
And reveals Your love to the world,
So may You be powerful in me,
That I may be brave in You.
May I serve You in quiet steadfastness,
In kindness and gentle strength.
Be the light and wisdom of all Your disciples
In the Holy Catholic Church,
In whose blessed communion I long to remain,
Together with all the angels and saints,
United in fellowship with all her children, both living and dead;
Whom I commend to Your mercy.
Glory be to the Father ...
